Boro Park 24

Dozens of Chaveirim volunteers gathered on Wednesday night for a member’s appreciation event, not realizing how significant
the night would be for all of them and the community at large.
The organization, which helps countless individuals daily, unveiled a new vehicle that is ready to service the neighborhood with
any and every tool that Chaveirim members use in response to situations.
Councilman Kalman Yeger, joined by members of the NYPD, Community Board 12 District Manager Barry Spitzer, and Justice
Saul Stein, cut the ribbon unveiling the new vehicle. Also in attendance was Shloimy Rieger, representing Assemblyman Simcha
Eichenstein, and Community Leader Reb Berish Freilach, who praised the dedicated volunteers for their tireless work.
The event occurred at Chaveirim’s new permanent headquarters, on 48th Street between 11th and New Utrecht Avenues. The
large warehouse will contain offices, training rooms, and parking space for Chaveirim’s fleet of vehicles.
